Gene Folsom: A Durango Family Story

The early southwest has a rich and colorful history. The challenges and opportunities people faced each day we could only imagine. In the following video Gene Folsom shares with us anecdotes of his family, who came to Colorado from Maine via Pueblo and Colorado Springs, then on to Durango in the 1870’s. You will find Gene’s recall both humorous and touching.

The showing of the film at The Animas Museum, to a standing room only crowd, brought laughter and tears to the audience, followed by very animated comments and other stories.
